Diakoftis Beach
The beautiful beach of Diakoftis is situated at the most southern coast of the island, nearly under the runway of Karpathos airport some 11 kilometers far from Arkasa and 21 kilometers from Karpathos Town.
Diakoftis is definitely one of the nicest beaches of the Island with white sand, shallow emerald waters and colors that are magical. Many people say “It’s the Maldives of Karpathos”. It is divided into two smaller beaches.
There are no umbrellas or sun beds, there is only a cantina available. This is not a windsurfing beach , even though it can get very windy sometimes…
Most of the road reaching this beach is asphalt, although the last 5 kilometers is a dirt road. Access from Arkasa is very simple.
